A Word from our VP of Recruitment
Hi ladies and welcome to The University of Missouri. First off, I would like to congratulate you on your acceptance and commitment to Mizzou; a place that will truly become your home away from home. I also want to assure you that this journey you are about to begin will be one of the most memorable experiences of your life. Without a doubt, AXO has given me more than I ever could have imagine and brought some of the most incredible people into my life, but it has also opened a new chapter in my life filled with powerful leaders, students, and Real Strong Women, who don’t let anything hold them back. It is safe to say that myself and the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega are excited for you to feel the same way.
My name is Emiley Zegar and I am extremely blessed and grateful to be the Vice President of Recruitment for the Alpha Nu chapter of Alpha Chi Omega. My responsibility as the VP of Recruitment, and as a member of this chapter, is to ensure every single potential new member that walks through our little red door is able to see the genuine, authentic, and accepting qualities of each member of Alpha Chi Omega.
We are a sisterhood of Real Strong Women, passionate about our philanthropy, and always finding ways to give back to the community and support our beneficiary, True North of Columbia and Domestic Violence awareness. Sisters in Alpha Chi Omega amaze me every day with our active involvement in the Mizzou community. We are leaders, athletes, interns: we are future journalists, engineers, health professionals and businesswomen. Holding one another to the highest standard and pushing each other to be the best version of ourselves we can be.
The laughter, the joy, the tears, the strength, and the overwhelming support that I’ve shared with these women has made this experience thus far, worth more than anything I could ever imagine. Recruitment is one of my favorite parts of being an AXO and I can’t wait to showcase our chapter and all that it has to offer.
We are so extremely excited for all the potential members who are searching for their home to find, and to feel the incredible bond that we feel we have already found. My advice to you all is to stay true to yourself and embrace the incredible woman you are. I cannot wait for this year, with the support of all my sisters around me, and hope that you as well are able to find your true home behind our little red door!
